4 ways to shift out of anxiety and into a state of relaxation
Today we have for you 4 ways to shift out of “fight or flight” into a relaxed, centered state, which we discovered in our combined 55+ years of practice.
Here they are:
#1 Get physical! Practice Tai Chi or QiGong, go for a run or swim, a hike, a walk around the block… whatever! You’ve got to move it move it! This age-old practice works so well because it calms your nervous system, focuses your awareness, connects you with the inner strength at your center, keeps your body supple, AND moves your energy, releasing any stagnations! A growing body of research suggests that exercise may even be up to 1.5x better than standard treatments in reducing symptoms of depression!
#2 Disrupt your stress response. When you are in a low-grade state of “fight or flight” (which many of us are constantly) you are literally not in your “right mind”. You get kicked out of a connected, whole-brain state and into a subconscious, limbic response. Into survival mode. It is like, “ isn’t here right now!”

#3 Reprogram your subconscious mind and nervous system responses. Old, outdated trauma patterns keep you stuck in stress and on constant high alert. Use psychological kinesiology to release the old programs and establish positive subconscious beliefs to get realigned with your most calm, centered, powerful self.

#4 Practice reconnecting to your highest self and remembering who you truly are: Some of the ways you can do this is through meditation with intention, prayer, or reading an inspirational passage or book
